Diptilata’s mother Jyotsnarani Das, who was told about her daughter’s death by another college student. As the college authorities did not inform Jyotsnarani anything, she suspected something foul in the incident. J

Jyotsnarani claimed that Diptilata had told her about harassment by some college students. Diptilata had also informed her mother that she was getting threatening messages on her social media account. Though she had informed the college authorities about it, no step was taken in this regard.
