Bhubaneswar: Nikunja Bihari Dhal, a 1993 batch IAS officer, was appointed the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) of Odisha.
His appointment has been made after the outgoing SRC Pradeep Jena was elevated to the post of Chief Secretary recently.
Dhal, who is Additional Chief Secretary, Energy department, with the additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary; Excise; Chairman, GRIDCO, and Chairman of Odisha State Beverages Corporation Ltd; has been allowed to remain as the Special Relief Commissioner and Managing Director State Disaster Management Authority in addition to his other responsibilities.
This was announced in a notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department.
