New Delhi: Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala are expected to get married by the end of this year. The couple got engaged on August 8, 2024, in Hyderabad, and since then, rumours have circulated about their wedding plans. Initially, there was speculation about a lavish destination wedding in Rajasthan, following the trend set by other celebrity couples. However, recent reports suggest a shift towards a more intimate local ceremony, Entertainment Times reported.

Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala are planning a traditional wedding ceremony on December 4, 2024, at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. While no official confirmation has been made regarding the date or venue, insiders seem confident about this arrangement, the report added.

The couple officially kicked off their pre-wedding festivities, starting with the traditional Pasupu Danchadam ceremony on October 21, 2024. This ceremony is a significant part of Telugu weddings and marks the beginning of the wedding celebrations.

During the Pasupu Danchadam, which translates to “crushing wheat, stone, and turmeric” the couple participates in a ritual where they grind these ingredients on a grinding stone. The turmeric powder produced during this ceremony will later be used in other wedding rituals, including the haldi ceremony.

Sobhita shared pictures from the event on her social media, where she was seen in an elegant Kanjivaram silk saree, adorned with gold jewellery and jasmine flowers in her hair.
