Bhubaneswar: There will be no supply of piped water to some areas in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
Informing this to the media here, BMC City Engineer Debasundar Mohapatra said there have been some cracks in the main pipeline drawn from the Mundali barrage on the outskirts of the city. As a result, supply of water to some areas of the city like Dumduma, Dharma Vihar, Chandaka, Jagamara, Sailashree Vihar, Niladri Vihar, Pokhariput and Sector 1, 2 and 3 areas of Saheed Nagar.
He, however, said that the repair work is underway on a war-footing and efforts are on to restore water supply to the aforesaid areas in the city at the earliest.
