Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has no plans to reduce the syllabus of the technical courses, said Skill Development & Technical Education minister Premananda Nayak.

Replying to a query from BJD member Soumya Ranjan Patnaik in the State Assembly, he said that the state government had directed all technical institutions to impart online teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic and announced the results of the final year students after conducting the online examinations.

“All Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in the state have reopened since December 28 and all Degree and Diploma institutions from January 11 and the regular physical classes are underway since February 10. As it has been decided to complete the remaining courses through extra classes, there is no question of reducing the syllabus,” the minister pointed out.
