Kendrapada/Pune: Non-resident Odias in Maharashtra are trying to save the life of an accident victim from Odisha’s Kendrapara district.
The Odias in Pune got him admitted to the hospital and have collected Rs 4 lakh for his treatment.
According to sources, Prafulla Rout of Ikiriya village in Kendrapara district had gone to Pune in search of work.
He met with an accident and was admitted to the ICU of a hospital in Pune. Some Odias came forward and arranged funds for his treatment. They also contacted some NGOs for financial assistance.
With a sum of Rs 1.5 lakh still pending, Rout’s family members have appealed to the state government to airlift him to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
