Mumbai: Actress Nora Fatehi, who has been questioned in the money-laundering case against alleged conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar, will be the prosecution witness in the case, India Today reported on Wednesday.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) suspected that Nora was gifted a BMW and iPhone by Chandrasekhar. The actress later claimed that Chandrashekhar presented her the car and his wife Leena Maria Paul had given her a Gucci bag and an iPhone as a token of love’.
After being quizzed by ED officials, Nora stated that she was a ‘victim’, and not part of any money-laundering activity.

“Nora Fatehi has been the victim around the case and being a witness, she is co-operating and helping the officers in the investigation. We would like to make it very clear that she has not been a part of any money laundering activity, she does not know or have any personal connection with the accused and has been called by the ED to strictly help with the investigation,” read a statement issued on behalf of Nora.
Nora apart, Jacqueline Fernandez is also under ED scanner in connection with the Rs 200-crore extortion case in which Chandrasekhar is the prime accused. The Sri Lanka-born Jacqueline has also appeared before the ED multiple times.
Chandrasekhar is currently lodged in Tihar jail. There are 15 FIRs pertaining to criminal cases against him.
