In a Nowcast Warning issued at 7 pm, the regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar said light to moderate thunderstorm with gusty wind speed reaching 40- 50 kmph, lightning and light to moderate rain is likely to affect some parts of Khurda district including Bhubaneswar city and Jagatsinghpur within next two to three hours.
It has advised the people to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions and be ready to move to safer places protect from lightning strike.
