Cuttack: Odisha is gearing up to host its first international cricket match after two-and-a-half years.
Exactly six weeks before the India versus South Africa second T20 International, Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) office-bearers met at its office on Sunday to discuss preparations for the match.
The OCA management has already had initial discussions with major stakeholders who will be involved in the conduct of the match.
OCA officials will soon have a coordination meeting with the Commissionerate Police of the Twin city (Bhubaneswar and Cuttack) pertaining to security arrangements.
The five-match series will commence 10 days after the IPL ends. Delhi will stage the series-opener, followed by Cuttack, Visakhapatnam, Rajkot and Bengaluru.
The Barabati Stadium was scheduled to host the first T20I against the West Indies in February. But Cuttack and Visakhapatnam lost out due to the COVID pandemic.
