Bhubaneswar: Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) member Dulal Chandra Pradhan has been appointed manager of the Indian team for the Women’s Asia Cup 2024.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has responded to the request of OCA which had asked for the appointment of a support staff from the state association.
The Women’s Asia Cup will be played in Sri Lanka’s Dambulla from July 19 to 28.
India, the defending champions, will fly out from Chennai on July 16.
The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side will open its campaign in the T20 tournament against Pakistan on July 19. They will also face the UAE (July 21) and Nepal (July 23) in Group A.
Group B comprises of Bangladesh, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
The top two teams from both groups will advance to the semis, to be played on July 26. The final is scheduled for July 28.
