Odia Youth ‘Jumps Off’ Apartment In Bengaluru, Family Cries Murder

Bengaluru: Police are investigating the death of an Odia youth, who allegedly committed suicide by jumping off the ninth floor of an apartment at Bellandur in Bengaluru late on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Kartikeswar Nayak (20) of Naupanna village under Rahunia police limits in Mayurbhanj district. He was working as a security guard for Difesa Security Services for the last two years.

Police said the youth jumped off the floor of Sobha Apartment while on duty.

However, Kartikeswar’s are crying foul as no trace of blood was found at the spot where he had fallen.

His family members also suspect that he was murdered.

The body of the deceased was later taken to his native village by a Bengaluru-based NGO ‘Indian By Birth’ after the postmortem at a government hospital in Bellandur.
