Bhubaneswar: Bigg Boss is all set to start on October 1 and actress Prakruti Mishra from Odisha has apparently been confirmed for the 16th season of the popular reality show, reports said on Saturday.
A National Award winner, Prakruti had gained popularity with Bitti Business Wali. She recently grabbed headlines after a video of her being manhandled by Trupti Satpathy, the wife of her co-star Babushaan Mohanty went viral. Trupti has accused them of having an affair. Apart from a police complaint, she has filed a defamation suit of Rs 5 crore on the actor’s wife and his father-in-law.
Prakruti had earlier participated in Vikas Gupta’s ‘Ace Of Space Season 2. The show was similar to ‘Bigg Boss’ where all participants had to lead a 24*7 camera-surveillance life for 60 days with no modern-day gadgets, locked up in a small room which can shrink anytime. She had also participated in Zee TV’s India’s Best Cinestars Ki Khoj.
Notably, Salman Khan will again host Bigg Boss like every year. Some of the other confirmed names are Munawar Faruqui, Shivin Narang, Madirakshi Mundle, Mohit Malik, Tina Datta and others. An official announcement is awaited.
Meanwhile, the channel has released an official promo in which Salman Khan is saying ‘Iss baar Bigg Boss khud khelenge’. Another teaser is doing the rounds on the internet in which the actor is saying “Rule yeh hai ki koi rules nahi hai (The rule is that there are no rules.)”
