Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Higher Education department has invited applications from eligible candidates for the position of Vice-Chancellor of Berhampur University.
The applicant should be a distinguished academician of proven academic and administrative excellence and a well-rounded personality with a minimum of 10 years of experience as a professor in a university system or 10 years of experience in an equivalent position in a reputed research and/or academic organisation.
The candidate must be below 63 years of age as on May 1, 2022 or born after May 1, 1959.
The post carries a pay of Rs 2,10,000 with Special Allowance of Rs 11,250 per month and other usual allowances such as dearness allowance, stated a notification by the Higher Education Department.
The applicants are required to apply in the prescribed application proforma through e-Mail attachment (only in pdf format) to hedsec.od@nic.in mentioning “Application for the post of Vice-Chancellor of Berhampur University” as the subject of the email.
The email, containing the application in pdf format should reach the department by March 7, 2022. Besides, one set of application (hard copy), complete in all respects along with supporting documents, should also be sent by speed post by March 7, 2022.
The prescribed application proforma can be downloaded from the Department website www.dhe.odisha.gov.in and Berhampur University website, https://www.buodisha.edu.in.
The shortlisted candidates will be called for interview (to be held in Bhubaneswar in physical mode) by a three-member Selection Committee.
After interview, the Committee will recommend three candidates to the Chancellor who will select one candidate for appointment as Vice-Chancellor, read the official notification.
