Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has effected a reshuffle, transferring for 18 senior officers from Indian Police Service (IPS) and Odisha Police Service (OPS) cadres.
The reshuffle was notified by the Home Department on Saturday across district administrations, specialised units, and key intelligence wings such as Crime Branch, STF, Special Branch, and Vigilance. The changes come shortly after Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi reviewed the state’s law and order situation, emphasising the need for efficient, alert, and accountable policing to support development and ensure public safety.
Officials have described the exercise as a routine yet strategic step to bring fresh perspectives to critical areas and strengthen overall policing.
