Bhubaneswar: The new Bhadrak-Nayagarh Town-Bhadrak MEMU train will be flagged off in Odisha on Ram Navami day on Thursday.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw are slated to flag off the inaugural run of the train at Cuttack railway station.
On the inaugural day, this train will leave Cuttack station at about 1515 pm. However, the regular service will commence from March 31, a railway official said.
This is a long pending aspiration of the people of both Bhadrak and Nayagarh districts. The Railways Minister had announced that a new train will be provided from Bhadrak towards Bhubaneswar during the foundation stone laying ceremony of Redevelopment of Bhubaneswar Railway Station.
This is the result of Vaishnaw’s continuous focus for the comfort and convenience of the passengers of the region. This train will provide facilities to the public of the respective regions for direct journey instead of changing transportation facilities at intermediate places.
This new train will run as special train on its inaugural day tomorrow.
08555/08556 Bhadrak-Nayagarh Town-Bhadrak MEMU will leave from Bhadrak at 0545 am and reach Nayagarh Town at 1155 am. In the return direction, this train from Nayagarh Town will leave at 1705 pm and reach Bhadrak at 2245 pm. This train will have stoppages at all stations and pssenger halts between Bhadrak and Nayagarh Town from both the directions.
