Bhubaneswar: The Odisha unit of BJP on Friday filed a police complaint about two missing files of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA).
A delegation of BJP leaders led by Brahmagiri MLA Lalitendu Bidyadhar Mohapatra filed the complaint at Capital police station in Bhubaneswar. Later, Mohapatra told the media persons that it was a matter of grave concern that two important files of SJTA have gone missing from the Law department.
Holding the officials of the department, the BJP leader said in their police complaint, they have demanded exemplary punishment for those responsible for the missing files.
As per a circular issued by the Law department, two files of JTA Section bearing No-JTA-55/2006(pt) and JTA-06/2014 are untraceable in the records of JTA Section.
Mohapatra alleged that the files have been taken from the department by the people with vested interest. “We suspect that the files may be related to the chief minister and senior officers. It might have contained information which could be damaging for the government,” he added.
