New Delhi: Odisha-born senior bureaucrat Anita Pattanayak has been appointed Deputy Comptroller of Auditor General, said a notification issued by Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Thursday.
She is the first Odia woman to have achieved such distinction. A native of Cuttack, she is the daughter of former DGP of Odisha late Kishore Chandra Pattanayak.
The 1982 batch officer of Indian Audit and Accounts Service had earlier served as Principal Accountant General of Karnataka and Auditor General in Maharashtra, West Bengal, Karnataka and Odisha.
Besides Anita Pattanayak, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet also approved the appointment of 1981 batch Ashwini Attri and 1982 batch Ranjan Kumar Ghose as Deputy CAG.
