Bhubaneswar: Congress president Rahul Gandhi, who is scheduled to address Parivartan Sankalp Samavesh in Balasore on Friday afternoon, will be late for the meeting.
In a Twitter post, Rahul said that he was on the way to Patna, but was forced to return to Delhi due to technical snag in the plane engine. Hence, there will be delay in his arrival at the meeting venue in Balasore.
The Congress president was scheduled to arrive in Balasore at 2 pm and address a public meeting at Remuna.
Sources in the party said that the Odisha in-charge (prabhari) and Chhattisgarh minister TS Singhdeo, All India Mahila Congress president Sushmita Dev, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Niranjan Patnaik, Congress candidate for Balasore Lok Sabha constituency Nabajyoti Patnaik (son of the OPCC president) and other senior leaders the party will remain present in the public meeting at Remuna.
