Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet which is scheduled to meet on Thursday will give approval to 17 proposals.
The meeting, which will begin at the State Secretariat at 5.45 PM and will be presided over by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will approve the amendment in the Odisha Shop and Commercial Establishment Act, 1957 to make a mandatory provision for all trading establishments to mention their name in Odia language.
Other proposals which will get the Cabinet nod are a five-lakh litre capacity milk processing plant at Arilo under Gobindpur Mouza in Bhubaneswar to be funded by Nabard, laying of underground pipeline in Balangir and Nuapada districts for irrigation development and handing over government land without premium to a yard centre of the Airport Authority of India (AAI) at Narendrapur village under Chhatrapur Block in Ganjam district.
Besides, the Cabinet will approve amendment in the Agro-Engineering Cadre Rules, Odisha Municipal Act, Odisha Recruitment Rules, restructuring of Auditor Service Cadre, Veterinary Service Cadre and Jail Service Cadre.
