Bhubaneswar: Three senior Odisha cadre IPS officers of the 1996 batch have been promoted to the rank of Additional Director General (ADG).
According to a notification by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department, the CMD of Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) Arun Bothra, IG (Modernisation) Sanjay Kumar Singh and Sunita Kakran, who is on a central deputation and posted as Joint Director, IB, Ministry of Home Affairs, will be promoted to the rank of ADGP with effect from January 1, 2021.
Apart from this, five IPS officers of the 2003 batch will be promoted to the rank of Inspector General of Police (IGP).
The five officers are DIG (Western Range) Kavita Jalan, DIG (Headquarters) Himanshu Lal, DIG (South-Western Range) Shafeen K Ahmed and DIG (Vigilance) Sanjay Kumar Kaushal.
Nikhil Kumar Kanodia , who is now on a Central deputation and posted as Director in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, is allowed pro forma promotion.
