Bhubaneswar: A day before Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s curtain raiser meet for Make in Odisha Conclave-2022, Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra held ‘one to one meeting’ with potential investors in Hyderabad on Sunday.
Mahapatra interacted with 13 potential investors, mainly from the sectors like food processing, metal downstream, renewable energy, health care, textiles, plastics, construction and start-up technologies. The leading industrial houses included Binjrajka Value Products, Gemini Oils and Fats, Sudhakar Pipes, SK Fabrication, Lakshmi Spinning Mills and Greenko Energy.
Mahapatra along with Principal Secretary, Industry Hemant Kumar Sharma informed the delegates about Odishah government policies, subsidies, institutional arrangements from online submission of investment proposal to single window clearance, one agency contact point, quick approvals and clearances, handholding support, availability of land bank, developed industrial estates with infrastructural arrangements, assured power and raw material supply, and availability of qualitative technical manpower etc.
The CEOs and representatives of the industrial houses expressed their appreciation of Odisha for its stable governance, peaceful conditions for business and prompt bureaucratic decisions.
Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the meet, Mahapatra said, “The response of the investors has been very positive and I am confident that they would set up their industries in Odisha. The chief minister would interact with industrialists tomorrow. We are expecting support from the investors here like other cities.”
It may be noted that before Hyderabad, the Chief Minister has already held curtain raiser investor meets at Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. The third edition of the Make in Odisha-2022 is scheduled to be held at Bhubaneswar from November 30 to December 4.
