Odisha CHSE’s 1st Selection List For +2 Admission Out, 4.26 Lakh Students Get Intimation

Bhubaneswar: The Council for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) on Saturday released first selection list for Plus II admission in various streams. According to the CHSE, 4.26 lakh out of 4.76 applicants have received intimation letters, in the first selection.

The intimation letters have been sent to the selected students over SAMS portal, their emails, Whats App, and standard text message on the registered mobile number, CHSE officials informed.

This year, Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School has set 91.50 per cent cut-off in Science stream, and 75.17 per cent in Arts. Similarly in Commerce stream, the cut-off mark is 77 per cent.

BJB Higher Secondary School has set 87 per cent cut-off for Science stream and 72.33 per cent cut-off in Arts and 70 per cent cut-off mark in Commerce.

In Science, Saraswati Vidya Mandir Higher Secondary School, Berhampur is in third spot with 84.83 per cent cut-off mark while JKBK Higher Secondary School, Cuttack and FM Higher Secondary School Balasore are in the fourth and fifth spots with 84.17 and 84 per cent cut off marks respectively.

In the Arts stream, BJB is at the third spot with 72.33 per cent cut-off mark. FM and Government Higher Secondary School Bhawanipatna are occupying the fourth and fifth spots respectively with 71.50 and 70.80 per cent cut-off marks.

In the Commerce, BJB occupies the third spot with 70 per cent cut-off mark while JKBK and Municipal Higher Secondary School, Rourkela are at fourth and fifth spots with 68.67 and 68 per cent cut-off marks respectively, the CHSE informed.

Overall, 2.71 lakh students have been selected in Arts, 1.17 lakh in Science and more than 24,000 students have received intimation letters in the first selection.

Out of the selected lot, 2.03 lakh are male students, 2.22 lakh female and 20 are from others category, the CHSE stated.
