Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday announced financial assistance to all childcare institutions for welfare and comfort of children residing at these centres across the state.
According to a statement issued by the CMO, the district Red Cross Societies will provided Rs 10 lakh each for necessary support and humanitarian intervention.
An additional Rs 10 lakh will be given to Mayurbhanj, Ganjam, Balasore, Keonjhar, Sundergarh and Sambalpur districts to meet any additional requirements.
This amount will be sourced from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) and other sources, it added.
In addition to this, 10 senior IAS officers have been appointed as coordinating officers for 13 medical colleges and hospitals in the state. The appointees have been assigned the task to improve overall performance, infrastructure, development and functioning of these colleges and hospitals and oversee progress of proposed medical colleges.
