Bhubaneswar: To make the enforcement system more effective and efficient in Odisha capital, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday approved creation of 67 new posts in Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA).
The posts include one Assistant Commissioner of Police, 6 Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police and 60 Police Constable. These positions will be created and filled by Odisha Police and work for urban planned development.
According to BDA’s proposal, 25 joint teams and five reserve teams are required to ease and speed up removal of encroachments for beautification and various infrastructure development works in the city. Each team will have two police constables. An Assistant Commissioner, 6 Assistant Sub Inspectors will ensure proper coordination and management of these teams, a CMO release said.
