Keonjhar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, who is on a three-day visit to his home district Keonjhar since Friday, enjoyed a tea session with his old friends and also played football.
The Chief Minister began the day with a morning walk in the stadium in Keonjhar. Majhi spent a great time with friends and enjoyed black tea at his favourite tea stall.
The Chief Minister said that he has a desire to build a national level stadium in the district. This apart, there will be stadiums equipped with modern facilities in different parts of the district. With this, national level players will be created in Keonjhar.
Majhi also honoured the stall owner ‘Bideshi Babu’, who served him his favourite tea, after praising him for his service over the last six decades. “I have come here to relish ‘desi’ tea from ‘Bideshi Babu’,” he said.
The CM recalled how he used to visit the tea stall regularly and hold discussion with friends, retired government employees, sportspersons and others regarding the development of Keonjhar district.
Stating that that his government has completed 100 days in the state and launched ‘Subhadra Yojana’ for the empowerment of women, Majhi said the government will make all efforts to ensure inclusive development of the district with proper use of minerals.
