Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Fridah felicitated internationally acclaimed mountaineer Bibharani Patra. She met the Chief Minister at Lok Seva Bhawan and sought his blessings for her upcoming expedition.
She is scheduled to start her campaign to climb Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Russia and Europe. Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling was present on the occasion, an official release said.
Extending best wishes for her next endeavour, the Chief Minister said that her bravery is a great inspiration for the young generation.
Majhi said that Bibharani Patra’s courage serves as a profound inspiration to the youth and her successful ascent of Mount Elbrus would undoubtedly bring honour to both her and the state.
It is to be noted here that Bibharani scaled Mount Stok Kangri in Leh Ladakh in 2019 and Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa in 2023. Apart from receiving numerous national and international accolades, Bibharani was recognized as the Abu Dhabi International Youth Leader in 2019.
