Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday inaugurated a state-of-the-art Cyber Security Operation Centre (CSOC) at OCAC in Odisha capital.
The centre will help protect data, applications and ICT infrastructure of the state from security threats. The CSOC has been set up with joint collaboration of Electronics & IT department of the state government and OCAC.
The CSOC has been set up using latest security technologies and tools within 6 months. The system is fully automated and will protect government information and data from the hackers.
Technology is one of the key components of 5T initiative of the government. With features like Bug Bounty, real-time threat intelligence feed, independent scalable infrastructure and next generation technological support, the CSOC is a unique government facility in the country.
At present, State Data Centre, State Wide Area Network and Secretariat Network have been integrated with CSOC. As it is an independent infrastructure, more IT setups can be integrated in future.
