Sambalpur: Ahead of his scheduled visit to Jharsuguda, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday met the injured Odisha State Armed Police (OSAP) personnel at VIMSAR in Sambalpur’s Burla.
Naveen reached Jamadhapalli Airport at noon and then flew to the MCL helipad in a helicopter from where he travelled by road to Burla hospital.
The chief minister, who stayed in the hospital for about 30 minutes, wished the injured cops speedy recovery and directed the authorities to provide them all necessary treatment free of cost.
Heath condition of two among the 13 personnel admitted to the VIMSAR is stated to be critical.

Two OSAP personnel of the 2nd Battalion had died on the spot while 29 injured were injured when the van carrying them collided head-on with a speeding truck near a filling station on NH-49 in Belpahar of Jharsuguda district this morning.
Expressing profound grief at the death of the two jawans, the Chief Minister had earlier announced Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia each to the next of the kin of the deceased cops and government job to one of their family member.
