Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday expressed profound grief at the passing away of renowned Odissi dancer and wife of late Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra, Laxmipriya Mohapatra. The state’s first Odissi dancer passed at her residence in Bhimtangi area of the city on Saturday night.
Conveying his deep sympathy to the bereaved family, the Chief Minister remembered her immense contribution in the promotion of Odissi dance in the country and abroad.
He also announced a state funeral for the departed soul at Swargadwar in Puri later in the day.
