Odisha CM Presents 476 Appointment Letters At Nijukti Mela In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday presented appointment letters to a total of 476 newly selected officers and employees to join the state government.

The appointment letters were handed over by the Chief Minister at a special ‘Nijukti Mela’ organised by the General Administration & Public Grievance department at Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar.

As per an official release, the 476 newly-appointed officers and employees have for the letters to serve in seven different departments of the state government.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister urged the new employees and officers to work with dedication and commitment to bring smile in the faces of people of the state.

The new officers and employees should make sincere efforts to take the benefits of different government schemes to all sections of the society, he said.

Asserting that the government is determined to fill up 1.5 vacant posts in five years, Majhi said the foundation for the significant task has been laid today with the handing over of these appointment letters. Future recruitment will be made in a transparent manner, he said.

Taking a dig at the previous government for leaving a large number of posts vacant and depending heavily on outsourcing, the CM said that over 3.5 lakh employment opportunities will also be created in industries.
