Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is slated to make another an aerial survey of the areas affected by cyclone ‘Dana’ in the state on Monday.
A day after he made an aerial survey of some cyclone-hit areas, the Chief Minister will undertake a similar exercise over the areas affected in Balasore and Mayurbhanj districts. This will be the Chief Minister’s second aerial survey.
The Chief Minister conducted an aerial survey of affected areas in Kendrapara and Bhadrak districts yesterday.
Majhi will be accompanied by Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari and senior officials during the aerial survey.
Officials said the Chief Minister will also take stock of the situation at Habelikhati nature camp in Bhitarkanika of Kendrapada district where cyclone Dana had made landfall around midnight of October 24.
The Chief Minister is scheduled to review damage at a meeting at the SRC office following his aerial survey.
It may be noted that the Chief Minister has already directed the officials to prepare the damaged report by November 2. It would help the government disburse the compensation to the affected people, he said.
Notably, Majhi made an aerial survey of the affected areas in Paradip, Mahakalpada, Rajnagar, Rajkanika and Chandbali on Sunday.
