Bhubaneswar: The cold wave has intensified in Odisha with a further dip in night temperature on Tuesday. The weather condition will continue till Friday, the Met Office here said.
The morning weather bulletin said mercury fell below 10 degree Celsius in Sonepur (8), Angul (8), Boudh (8.5), Jharsuguda (9.6) and Keonjhar (9.8). It was below 15 degree Celsius in Balasore (11.2), Chandbali (12.8), Cuttack (11.4), Paradip (14.6), Bhubaneswar (12.9), Sambalpur (10.2), Sundargarh (11), Hirakud (11.7), Talcher (13.4), Bhawanipatna (12), Balangir (14), Koraput (13.6), Phulbani (11.3), Titlagarh (10.6), Daringibadi (10) and Nayagarh (12).
Also, the bulletin predicted dense fog at one or two places in Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Koraput districts on Wednesday due to enough moisture in the atmosphere.
It further said that there will be a marginal rise in the night temperature in the next 24 hours from Wednesday, but the cold wave will continue till Valentine’s Day on Friday.
