Bhubaneswar: Odisha has confirmed 19 deaths due to COVID-19 in the last three days, taking the toll to 9064 on Sunday.
Eight fatalities were reported on Sunday (February 27), four on Saturday (February 26) and three on Friday (February 25). No death was listed on the official Twitter handle of the Health Department on Thursday (February 24), after the number of casualties being confirmed on a single day dropped below 10, after 27 days, on February 23.
Here are the details of the deceased shared on Sunday:
1. A 47 years old Female of Angul District who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease, Hypertension & Diabetes Mellitus.
2. A 72 years old Male of Angul District who was also suffering from Coronary Artery Disease, Acute Myocardial Infarction & Chronic Kidney Disease.
3. A 54 years old Male of Balasore District.
4. A 61 years old Female of Bhubaneswar District who was also suffering from Hypertension and Arthritis.
5. A 65 years old Female of Dhenkanal District who was also suffering from Hypertension, Bronchial Asthma & Diabetes Mellitus.
6. A 36 years old Male of Nayagarh District who was also suffering from Liver Cirrhosis.
7. A 71 years old Male of Nayagarh District who was also suffering from Pulmonary Tuberculosis & Diabetes Mellitus.
8. A 76 years old Female of Sambalpur District who was also suffering from Hypertension.
Notably, Odisha had reported 15 fatalities on February 21 and 15 on February 20. No information on new deaths, however, was shared by the Health Department on February 22.
After reporting over 20 deaths for 12 days, the fatalities dropped to 19 on February 16, 16 on February 17, 15 on February 18 and 18 on February 19.
The state had seen 23 deaths on February 4, 22 on February 5, 23 on February 6, 20 on February 7, 21 on February 8, 22 on February 9, 21 on February 10, 20 on February 11, 24 on February 12, 22 on February 13, 21 on February 14 and 22 on February 15.
