Bhubaneswar: The Congress has accused the state government of misleading the youths in providing employment on the plea of raising the maximum age limit for SCs, STs and women in applying for government jobs.
Speaking to media persons at Congress Bhavan, here on Saturday, party spokesman Nisikant Mishra said on January 10 when the state Cabinet approved the proposal to raise the maximum age limit from 32 to 38 years, the government decided to file an appeal against the Orissa High Court’s order to regularise the services of the people working through outsourcing.
He alleged that an official letter in this regard has been issued to the secretaries and heads of the departments concerned and advocate general.
Stating that the government has no respect for the High Court order or consideration for the unemployed youths in the state, the Congress spokesman demanded regularisation of the jobs of the outsourced persons.
