Bhubaneswar: A constable with Odisha Police, whose properties are being simultaneously raided by Odisha Vigilance on Tuesday, escaped after jumping off the roof of one of his properties, according to reports.
An official confirmation is awaited.
Constable Nihar Ranjan Dandapat is posted at Mayurbhanj SP’s office.
Vigilance officials launched simultaneous raids on the following properties following charges that he has amassed assets disproportionate to his sources of income.
* Residential house at Unit-18, Bhanjpur, Baripada town, Mayurbhanj
* Govt Quarter p/88 located at Police line, Baripada
* Premises of Cyber Outlook at Baripada town
* Paternal house at Badasahi, Mayurbhanj
* House of relative at Chhend Colony, Rourkela
* Hota Enterprises, at Purna Chandrapur, ward-21, Baripada
* Hota Enterprises located at Murgabadi, Baripada town
