Bhubaneswar: Odisha confirmed the second COVID death in the last 48 hours, which took the toll in the fourth wave to 11 on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as 67 years old man of Cuttack District, who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension and Parkinsonism.
On Wednesday, the Health Department had informed about the death of a 63 years old man from Bhubaneswar, who was also suffering from Coronary Artery Disease with Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty.
Odisha has so far reported 1.75% of the country’s Coronavirus deaths.
Notably, the state has been registering over 1000 cases for the last two days. According to experts, the cases are likely to peak next week before reaching a plateau by the middle of August.
