Bhubaneswar: The upward trend in Odisha’s COVID caseload continued for the third consecutive day on Friday with 44 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours against 41 on Thursday and 39 on Wednesday.
According to the I & PR Department, 27 of the new cases are from quarantine and 17 local contacts. Among them, only four belong to the 0-18 years age group.

4. Cuttack: 3
5. Ganjam: 1
6. Jajpur: 1
7. Khurda: 6
8. Mayurbhanj: 2
9. Nabarangpur: 2
10. Nuapada: 3
11. Puri: 2
12. Sambalpur: 1
13. Sundargarh: 14
Besides, only two from the state pool.
With these cases being detected from 7,974 samples, the test positivity rate stood at 0.55%. With 59 recoveries in the last 24 hours, Odisha now has 319 active cases.
