Bargarh: The decision to conduct the annual open-air play, Dhanu Jatra, in Odisha’s Bargarh has been put on hold, said Collector Monisha Banerjee.
The collector made the announcement after a meeting with the members of Dhanu Jatra Committee on Friday. The decision was taken in view of the COVID situation in the state and rising Omicron cases across the country.
However, a final decision regarding organising the world’s open-air theatrical performance this year will be taken after the state government releases COVID-19 guidelines for January, Banerjee added.
Dhanu Jatra was cancelled last year due to COVID situation.
