Bhubaneswar: Odisha DG Police Yogesh Bahadur Khurania on Saturday met Burla police constable Saroj Bhoi whose palm was severed while rescuing a woman from a fatal attack.
The constable, Saroj Bhoi, posted at Burla police station in Sambalpur district has been admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital where he underwent a major surgery on Friday.
Khurania also spoke to SCB MCH’s Plastic Surgery HoD Dr Bibhuti Bhushan Nayak and inquired about the constable’s health.
The DGP praised Bhoi’s bravery and commitment to duty and wished him speedy recovery.
