Keonjhar: Police arrested a government doctor after he allegedly rammed his car into a scooter in an inebriated condition, injuring four, including two minors, at Barbil in Odisha’s Keonjhar district.
The accused doctor has been identified as Dr Himanshu Jha posted at Barbil Community Health Centre (CHC).
According to sources, the accident took place near Old Cinema Hall Square at Barbil on Tuesday. Jha dragged the two-wheeler up to a distance of 1 km even as the injured, Md Farooq, his wife Ajmari Khatoon and their two children Md Farhab and Ali Sada aged 11 and 8 years, were thrown off the vehicle following the crash.
All the four injured were rushed to the CHC and Khatoon and Sada were later shifted to AIIMS-Bhubaneswar as their condition deteriorated. The condition of the 8-year-old girl is stated to be critical.
