Bhubaneswar: Higher Education Minister Arun Kumar Sahoo on Wednesday made a major goof-up while announcing the examination schedule of Post-Graduate and Plus III final year students.
After holding a video-conference with the vice-chancellors of the state-run universities, the Minister informed the mediapersons that the annual examinations of the Plus III Final year degree will be held on July 24 and the final Post-Graduate 6th semester examination on August 20.
However, in a release later in the day, the Higher Education Department stated that the 6th and final semester examination of the Plus III will be completed by July 24 and the results announced by August 31. Similarly, the 4th and final semester examination of the Post Graduate streams will be completed by August 20 and results declared by September 20.
