Bhubaneswar: About 53% of voters cast their votes by 3 pm in Odisha’s four Parliamentary constituencies where first phase of polling was conducted on Monday.
Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Nikunja Bihari Dhal, in a press briefing, said Kalahandi constituency registered the highest 58%, followed by Nabarangpur with 56%, Koraput 53% and Berhampur 45%.
More than 60% polling was recorded in two Assembly seats of Narla and Jharigaon. While Narla recorded the highest voting of 61.65%, the lowest polling of 37.23% was reported from Berhampur Assembly seat, Dhal said.
However, he said Odisha registered higher voter turnout in the first phase of polling compared to other states.

It may be noted that 39.30% voter turnout was recorded by 1 pm in the four Lok Sabha and 28 Assembly constituencies.
