Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance officials on Tuesday launched simultaneous searches on properties linked to an Assistant Engineer in the Rural Development Department on charges of amassing disproportionate assets.
Raids are being conducted at residential addresses and office premises of Assistant Engineer Dusmanta Dehury, who is posted in Nimapara in Puri district.
Assets unearthed so far:
* 28 plots including 7 plots in prime area of Bhubaneswar and 21 plots in prime area of Dhenkanal. Approx registration value shown as Rs 1.45 crore. However, market value likely to be much higher.
* Cash Rs 1.58 lakh
* One triple-storey building over plot No. 04/6307, Khata No. 619/1194 at VIM-442, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar.
* Two single-storey buildings at Dhenkanal town.
* One single-storey building at Gunadei village, Dhenkanal.
Vigilance Technical Wing is carrying out detailed measurement and assessment of the buildings.
* Bank & insurance deposits worth over Rs 47.65 lakh.
* One four-wheeler worth Rs 11 lakh
* Two two-wheelers.
