Jajpur: An engineering student from Jajpur town has invented an automatic sanitizer machine that can be used without touching it, thereby boosting its effectiveness amidst the coronavirus scare. And it merely costs Rs 700 to make.
The young innovator, Kaibalya Panigrahi, explained that a user just to place his/her palm under the machine and it will pour out the sanitizer. “You need not have to touch the machine as everything is automated,” he added.
Kaibalya, who is pursuing an engineering degree from a college in Gunupur, said since the machine doesn’t need to be physically touched, it’s ideal for installation at shops, vehicles and offices.
So how did he come up with the idea of the touch-free sanitizer? “I was sitting idle at my home during the lockdown and thought of doing something to tackle coronavirus. Then, I designed this machine,” replied Kaibalya, who is also a certificate holder from ITI Cuttack.
As for his plans, the young innovator said he will present the machine to the Jajpur Collector and request him to install it at this office. He may also go for commercial production of his machine soon.
