Bhubaneswar: To contain the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Odisha, the state government has strengthened the capacity building of the medical personnel.
While 416 faculties and staff of SCB Medical College and Hospital and 72 of MKCG Medical College and Hospital have been given critical care training for COVID-19, around 1600 medical officers and staff of Directorate of AYUSH have been trained in basic COVID-19 management. Besides, training of medical fraternity of all COVID hospitals is being carried on through Zoom.
This apart, 906 persons of four dental colleges, including all faculties and students of third and final year, have been trained on basic COVID-19 management.
For door-to-door health survey in rural areas, 1,17,279 ASHA and Anganwadi workers been imparted basic training till April 10.
