Bhubaneswar: While continuing to bask in the success of ‘Pratikshya’, highlighting the dynamics in a father-son relationship, filmmaker Anupam Patnaik on Wednesday announced his upcoming new project ‘Trikanya’.
“Three women, three stories, one unforgettable journey of courage and triumph,” is how the filmmaker described ‘Trikanya’ in a Twitter post.
The women-centric movie has been written by Manash Padhiary and produced and directed by Anupam Patnaik. The star cast includes Barsha Patnaik, Manoj Mishra, Nishant Majithia, Sradha Panigrahi and Partha Sarathi Ray.
“The plot revolves around stories of three “kanyas”. Hence, the name “Trikanya”. The movie is about love, lust and hardships faced by women. I hope people will shower their love on this movie as well,” Patnaik said.
‘Pratikshya’ was released on December 2 last year with an overwhelming response from the audience for advance ticket booking and saw houseful shows in the theatres. Actor Anupam Kher has also announced the Hindi remake of the film inspired by a short story written by Sarala Puraskar-winning author Gaurahari Das and some true incidents, during the International Film Festival of India.
