Bhubaneswar: Children in the 15-18 age group who were born on or before January 1, 2007 are eligible to be vaccinated against COVID from January 3, Odisha’s Family Welfare Director and vaccination in-charge Dr Bijay Panigrahi informed on Tuesday.
They can register on CoWIN or on-site, he said.
Vaccination centres
“If possible, children will be administered the vaccine at separate centres. Or there will be separate queues for children at existing centres, where the vaccination drive is currently under way. The time gap between two doses will be 28 days,” he said.
Odisha will be inoculating over 25 lakh children in the age group of 15-18 years against COVID.
According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s latest guidelines, those in the age group of 15-18 years will have the option of Covaxin only.
