Rourkela: The testing facility for COVID-19 started at Ispat General Hospital (IGH) in Rourkela city on Wednesday.
The first in western Odisha, this facility has a capacity to test 60 samples a day.
Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Minister of Steel, Dharmendra Pradhan tweeted: The new testing facility by SAIL in Rourkela will strengthen Odisha’s fight against the pandemic.
Currently, COVID-19 tests are being conducted at RMRC, AIIMS and Institute of Life Sciences in Bhubaneswar, SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack and MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur. The facility at VIMSAR, Burla, will begin on April 16.
