Jharsuguda: A girl here was promised a job with Indigo Airlines and then duped of Rs 2,500 by an agency here.
The victim was identified as Sanjukta Khadia, a resident of Laikera in Jharsuguda district.
According to reports, Sanjukta fell prey to posters inviting applications for jobs with the airlines. When she responded to the advertisement, the agency asked her to pay Rs 2,500 and said the training for her job will begin at VSS Airport in Jharsuguda from January 27.
However, when she went to the airport, officials there told her that no training was scheduled. Sanjukta then filed a police complaint.
VSS Airport Director SK Chouhan advised unemployed youths not to be lured by such fake advertisements.
