Bhubaneswar: In another big step towards quality health care for people of the state under BSKY, the Odisha government has appointed 249 Assistant Professors in 23 specialty departments of different medical college and hospitals this year.
In addition to this, process is on for recruitment of another 274 specialists as Associate Professors, said Heath and Family Welfare Secretary Shalini Pandit on Thursday
In the meanwhile, the department has moved the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) to expedite the process of recruitment.
These Associate Professors would be engaged in specialist departments like Anaesthesiology, Anatomy, Bio-chemistry, Oto-Rhino- Laryngology (E.N.T.), F.M.&T, General Medicine, Microbiology, O&G, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic Surgery, Paediatrics, Pathology, Pharmacology, Physiology, Psychiatry, Radio-diagnosis, Community Medicine (S.P.M), Skin & V.D., Surgery, T.B. & C.D., Emergency Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
